Events Rules

1) What MTTS Measures

• • Traditional Score: winning performance (game results).
• • Synergy Score: leadership, IQ, unity, and interdependence behaviors.
• • Dual recognition: Traditional Champions and Synergy Score Champions.

2) Divisions & Team Limits

• • High School (MTTS): 15U, 16U, 17U | Boys & Girls (max 12 teams per division).
• • Junior (JRMTTS): 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U (may adjust based on participation).

3) Rosters & Eligibility

• • Verified rosters required with proof of age.
• • Max 12 players per roster.
• • Players cannot play for more than one team in the same division.
• • Roster changes allowed up to 48 hours before an event (league approval required).
• • Teams must attend at least 2 circuit sessions + Synergy Cup Finals.

4) Game Format (FIBA/NFHS Hybrid)

• • MTTS: 8-minute quarters (stop clock) | 35-second shot clock | 5-minute halftime.
• • JRMTTS: 7-minute quarters (stop clock) | 3-minute halftime.
• • Timeouts: 2 per half (no carryover).
• • Timeouts under 2:00: ball advances to half court.
• • OT: 2 minutes (1 timeout). Repeat until winner.

5) Fouls, Bonus, and Mercy Rule

• • Player fouls: 5 = disqualification.
• • Team fouls: 5 = double bonus.
• • Technical: 2 free throws + possession.
• • Running clock mercy rule if lead is 20+ with under 5:00 remaining.

6) Seeding & Tiebreakers

• • Win/Loss record
• • Head-to-head
• • Point differential (cap +/- 15 per game)
• • Synergy Score tiebreaker (when needed)

7) Synergy Score Categories (1–5 each)

• • Communication
• • Team IQ
• • Effort & Hustle
• • Unselfishness
• • Body Language

Full behavior library (15 behaviors per stage, 75 total) provided after registration.

8) Coach Standards

• • Professional sideline conduct required; no referee abuse or taunting.
• • MTTS Coach Orientation required.
• • League may discipline up to removal for repeated technicals or misconduct.

9) Media & Branding

• • All games livestreamed via MTTS-approved platforms.
• • Team Media Days required at designated session(s).
• • Numbered jerseys (front/back) and matching shorts required.
• • MTTS patch encouraged (league provides).
